Renowned TV show builders West Coast Customs Team up with Best Buy and Discovery Channel

Corona, CA – (April 5, 2011) – West Coast Customs (WCC) premiers their new show on Discovery’s HD Theater, Inside West Coast Customs April 10, 2011 at 9:00 PM EST. Inside West Coast Customs is the next exciting show featuring WCC’s outrageous builds. WCC is unveiling their latest creations, the “ultimate hot dog cart” for Augie’s Doggie and the “7 Steps of Customization” boot camp featuring the Best Buy Geek Squad Autotechs.

‘Best Buy being at the top of their game at us being at the top of ours, it only made sense for us to join forces and reach out to all of our fans who can’t make it out to our California headquarters. So we created the “7 Steps of Customization” at your local participating Best Buy.” said Ryan Friedlinghaus, CEO of West Coast Customs. “I picked out a hand full of Geek Squad Autotechs from around southern California Best Buy’s to participate in the “7 Steps of Customization” boot camp at The World Famous West Coast Customs. After the boot camp Ryan tested the Geek Squad Autotechs to apply the “7 Steps” to an unsuspecting Best Buy employee.”

“Discovery Channel came to us with this build as a token of appreciation for Isidro of Augie’s Doggie who saved many lives in the hostage crisis at Discovery Channel in September of 2010. So what we did to this cart is give it a complete make over and make it the best of the best,” said Ryan. “To start it off we wrapped the cart in red vinyl with a WCC/Augie’s Doggie pattern to make it stand out from the crowd as well as custom fenders and low profile wheels. We installed 2 outdoor HD TV’s, one for the customers and one for our “hot dog hero”. We also included an outdoor sound system and a XBOX for the slower times. To keep this all powered up we included a 4000 watt generator. Because this is the ultimate hot dog cart we put in a classic steamer for the buns as well as a Char-Broil grill. For shade we put awnings all the way around that will close up at the end of the day for protection. To top it off we put a customized 3D sign above it so everyone will know where to get the best hot dogs in town,”

Owner Ryan Friedlinghaus and his shop have been doing exclusive custom builds for the MTV show Pimp my Ride, TLC’s Street Customs, Street Customs Berlin and now on his new show on Discovery’s HD Theater, Inside West Coast Customs. Ryan and his crew are world-renowned for their extreme vehicles, outrageous features and unique designs.

Check out Inside West Coast Customs, Sunday at 9:00 pm EST on Discovery Channel’s HD Theater and on Fridays at 11:00 am EST on Discovery channel.
